Celebrate Black Pride in Oakland at Oakland’s Black Pride Festival from Wednesday, June 28, to Sunday, July 2. The festival begins on the evening of Wednesday, June 28th, with Breaking Bread: A Benefit Dinner featuring food prepared by Chef Preeti Mistry from Top Chef season six, located at Forage Kitchen in Oakland. All proceeds from this dinner will benefit Oakland Black Pride, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering LGBTQ+ communities. The third annual Oakland Black Pride Festival is on Saturday, July 1st, from 12:00 to 6:00 pm. This Queer Expo will feature over 50 vendors, including BIPOC makers, crafters, artists, entrepreneurs, food vendors, non-profit partners, DJs, local performers, and more.
Directions: Amtrak San Joaquins riders arriving at the Oakland Jack London Station can take a 9-minute Uber to Forage Kitchen for Wednesday festivities and a 13-minute Uber to 2150 Livingston Street for the Saturday Black Pride Festival.
