Enter to Win a Getaway Package to the Black Joy Parade in Oakland!

Amtrak San Joaquins has partnered with Visit Oakland to provide a getaway package to the Black Joy Parade on February 25! Enter to win a trip to this celebration of the Black culture and history. The Black Joy Parade is an annual event featuring a festival and procession that brings together the community to support Black business, artists, performers, activists and more.

The package includes 2 round trip rail tickets on Amtrak San Joaquins to Jack London Square Station, a 2 night stay at the Waterfront Hotel, 2 tickets to the 13th Annual Black Vines Toast to Black Wineries and Diverse Art, and a $100 gift card to Everett and Jones Barbeque!

The Black Joy Parade features over 200 Black owned vendors showcasing food, drinks, clothing and more; 2 stages featuring Black performances; children’s activities; a Healing Village; and the largest Black Joy Parade in the country. The parade begins at 14th and Franklin Street in downtown Oakland at 12:30 PM on Sunday, February 25, with the festival ending at 7:00 PM.

Admission to the festival is completely free for all, so even if you aren’t selected as a winner for this giveaway, we welcome all to attend this celebration! Amtrak San Joaquins is an affordable, safe, and comfortable option for getting to the Black Joy Parade, especially for those coming from Central Valley or Southern California. Take the train (with convenient bus connections from all over the state) to Oakland Jack London Square Station, and connect to the parade by rideshare or AC Transit. Book your trip today!
