Turlock Transit launches On-Demand Amtrak Shuttle to/from Turlock-Denair Amtrak Station

The new Turlock Transit Amtrak Shuttle will provide a valuable service that will improve first and last mile connections for Amtrak San Joaquins riders traveling to and from the Turlock-Denair Amtrak Station. The service will be available during regular Turlock Transit hours, which are Monday-Friday (6:00a.m. - 9:00 p.m.) and Saturday (9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.), excluding holidays. The shuttle will transport riders to or from any location in Turlock or Denair and will cost $2.50 each way.

DEPARTING PASSENGERS

Call (209) 668-5600 to request a pick-up from a location in Denair/Turlock.
Calls must be made at least 1 hour before train arrival.
Bus will pick you up from home and transport you to the Amtrak station.

RETURNING PASSENGERS

No reservations required.
Bus will be waiting at Amtrak station during regular service hours.
Bus will transport you to a location in Denair or Turlock.

"Local transit providers provide critical first and last mile connections. Turlock Transit's doorstep to station service will serve as a great model for local providers throughout the state."

 

Amtrak San Joaquins provides an easy and comfortable way to travel, serving over 135 destinations throughout California and Nevada, with a traffic-free, airport-free, stress-free experience. Travelers will continue to experience enhanced safety, cleaning and physical distancing measures that have been put in place to promote public health. These protocols include required face coverings, contactless amenities, regular cleaning and disinfection, social distancing on board and in stations, and sophisticated air filtration. (August 4, Stockton, CA) – Planes, trains, but no automobiles needed for the annual Fall Open Cockpit Day at Castle Air Museum this upcoming Labor Day weekend. Amtrak San Joaquins announced a new partnership with the Castle Air Museum to provide discounted travel fare for the annual event on August 30th from 9-4pm at the Central Valley aviation landmark.
