HIERO DAY

3rd Street & Martin Luther King Junior Way | Monday, September 5th | 11-8 PM

The 10th annual Hiero Day celebration is happening on Labor Day in Oakland! The now decade running Hip - Hop block party attracts fans from across the Bay area together for one day of celebration that is open to all-ages and showcases over 30 live performances! Throughout the day there will be 3 stages rocked by the best legendary, underground, and undiscovered artists in genres such as hip-hop, R&B, and more. In addition to the amazing music, this event will bring a plethora of culture, local foods, crafts and other Bay Area specialities.

Directions: The event is a quick 12 minute walk from the Amtrak Oakland station. After arriving, just walk down 2nd St. or take the scenic route along the water until you reach Martin Luther King Jr Way.

SF GIANTS VS PHI PHILLIES

Oracle Park will be hosting the Phillies for a Labor Day triple series! Both teams have something to prove as they battle one another at the storied Oracle Park in San Francisco’s Mission Bay neighborhood. Following the game, stay a while to enjoy the views of the Bay, check out some nearby restaurants, or visit a nearby park.

Directions: Amtrak Thruway bus riders arriving at 555 Mission St. can take a quick 4 minute walk to the SF Muni by taking a right on 2nd St. After arriving at the Muni, take the KT or N line to King & 2nd St. which is right outside of the Oracle Park stadium. 

 

For individuals traveling on Amtrak San Joaquins and leaving form the Oakland station, you can walk to the Lake Merrit train stop 12 minutes north of the station. Take the Green or Blue line to the Embarcadero stop, and transfer to the KT or N line to Oracle Park.

SAZON LATIN FESTIVAL

Sazon Latin Food Festival

This Labor Day weekend, head over to San Francisco to celebrate the Sazon Latin Food Festival. Directions: From Amtrak San Joaquins San Francisco bus stop. Walk northeast toward Shaw Alley. Turn left on Ecker St. then turn left on Market St. Cross Market St and hop onto Muni line 15 at Sutter St & Sansome St.. Get off Muni at Hudson Ave & Keith St.. Head southwest on Hudson Ave towards Keith St.. Turn left on Keith St and your destination will be on your right.

FRESNO GRIZZLIES VS. MODESTO NUTS AT CHUKCHANSI PARK

Directions: A quick 15-minute walk from the Fresno Amtrak station, head southwest toward Santa Fe Ave. Take a right on Santa Fe and another right on Inyo Ave. The stadium will be on your right.

SUMMER POOL PARTY AT THE DARLING HOTEL

210 N. Court St, Visalia, CA 93291 | Monday, September 5th | 1pm - 4pm

The Darling Hotel & Elderwood are delighted to welcome you to their first ever Pool Party experience on the Pool Terrace, featuring local DJ's, cool drinks, and good vibes all around. 22ND ANNUAL CHALK IT UP! CHALK ART & MUSIC FESTIVAL

Join the Sacramento Community with the 22nd annual Chalk it Up! This annual labor event is a three-day celebration of local artists and the arts community. This family-friendly event is free and perfect for celebrating Labor Day weekend. ANNUAL LABOR DAY COMMUNITY POW WOW

Derosa Lawn at University of the Pacific, 3601 Pacific Avenue, Stockton | Saturday, September 3, 2022 | 11:00 AM PDT - 9:00 PM PDT

The University of the Pacific El Centro and the Stockton Pow Wow Committee will host the 41st Annual Stockton Labor Day Pow Wow event. This event is free and open to the public as we invite you to this family-friendly, free celebration of Native culture. Indigenous peoples of the West share their songs, dances, drums, arts, crafts, and foods. Vendors will set up booths for this year’s Pow Wow. Offering Native foods, artwork, crafts, clothing, jewelry, and other items. Look for buffalo burgers, Indian hotdogs wrapped in frybread and deep fried, Native American tacos, which include ground beef and other toppings on frybread, and of course, frybread!

END OF SUMMER WHITE PARTY

Waterfront Warehouse Amphitheater, 445 W Weber Avenue, Stockton | Saturday, September 3, 2022 | 4:00 PM PDT - 11:30 PM PDT

With the summer season ending, what better way to celebrate than enjoying live music, food, and a cocktail along the river? So come on down to the Waterfront Waterfront Amphitheater and enjoy the live sounds of local favorites of  Mike Torres Jr Band and the Soul Trust Band, along with Fonzo & DJ Manuel C, which will keep you dancing into the late evening hours. White attire is not mandatory but recommended. The first 100 guests through the gates will receive a complimentary chair for seating. PAY IT FORWARD YOGA AT STONUM VINEYARDS AND WINERY

Start September off right with an energized soul and body cleanse. Stonum Vineyards and Winery host a morning of yoga, brunch, and wine. Yoga starts at ten, with each class being 45-minutes long.
