There are books about children getting on trains and riding to the North Pole with Santa, but that sort of thing doesn’t exist in real life… or does it?
We’ve learned that for one day only – Sunday, December 22nd – Santa Claus himself will board a very special Amtrak San Joaquins train in Fresno and host his own kind of northern excursion all the way up to Sacramento. Enjoy a train ride with Santa, complete with snacks like cookies, milk and hot cocoa. Once in Sacramento, Santa will walk the group a few blocks to the Downtown Sacramento Ice Rink, where he’ll belly laugh over some hilarious North Pole jokes and take pictures with kids of all ages.
To take part in this adventure, make sure you book your tickets in advance. If you’re south of Fresno, you can take part by being on the train when it picks up Santa from the Fresno Station. If you’re north of Fresno, just buy your ticket for the departure time when Santa will pass through. Look to the chart below to find out when the train will be pulling into/out of your station!
