Attention Amtrak Customers

The Amtrak ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) Improvement Project at the Richmond, CA, Station has started and will continue through May 2025. Platform access may be impacted but the station will remain open.

What to Expect:

  • Isolated areas of the platform will be under construction and protective barriers will keep passengers away from work areas.
  • In December, the stairs will be replaced which will close the platform and suspend service for three days. Buses will take passengers from Richmond to nearby stations during this time. Please check Amtrak.com for the most up to date schedules.
  • When the project is completed, the platform will be fully repaired, along with upgraded lighting, a new metal staircase from the tunnel/concourse, a repaired customer canopy and new signage.

Allow Extra Time – Don’t Miss Your Train
