Restaurant Week is a chance to experience Oakland's dynamic dining scene. From March 16 - 26, restaurants across Oakland are offering specially crafted lunch and dinner menus showcasing creative cuisine.

 

 

Amtrak San Joaquins is excited to partner with Visit Oakland for Restaurant Week and will be offering a free giveaway with two train tickets to Oakland and lunch at The Forge Handcrafted Pizza in Jack London Square. There are tons of excellent restaurants close to the Oakland Jack London Station, so you can make a day trip out of it or book a hotel and spend the night in Oakland to make the most out of Restaurant Week.

Brotzeit Lokal

MICHELIN Guide’s Point of View: Right off Embarcadero and just a few minutes south of Jack London Square, Brotzeit Lokal looks and feels like a classic German beer hall, albeit with great views of the water. It's a casual, convivial place with long tables and benches that beg for groups to connect over beer and Bavarian pretzels (served with mustard or cheese spreads, naturally).

 

Getting there: From Oakland Jack London Square Station, walk 26 minutes along Embarcadero West and Embarcadero or take rideshare.

 

Noka Ramen and Bar

This trendy spot serves up artisan Japanese noodles along with a full bar featuring signature hand crafted cocktails. The restaurant’s quirky decor includes Power Ranger-themed tiki drinks, anime playing in the background, and on Fridays, you can find staff dressed up as Power Rangers. You’ll definitely want to check out this spot for its unique atmosphere and top-quality ramen dishes.

 

Getting there: From Jack London Station, walk 5 minutes along Embarcadero West or 2nd Street to reach 90 Franklin street in the plaza.

Seabreeze on the Dock

Located right on the waterfront, Seabreeze on the Dock is a great option for high-quality seafood in a fast casual setting. For Restaurant Week, they are offering a special $25 lunch menu and a $35 dinner menu. Enjoy Cajun boils, garlic noodles, poki bowls, seafood boils, raw oysters, lobster rolls and more while taking in the views on their outdoor dining patio.

From Visit Oakland: Oakland Soul food hot spot Home of Chicken and Waffles was created with Family, Home Cooking and the city of Oakland in mind and at heart. It’s located in Jack London Square, an area known for great dining and nightlife. Originally a franchise of Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles, this family-owned HCW, opened in May of 2004, offers guests down-home southern soul food with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
