Fourth of July 2021: Things to Do and Where to See Fireworks

Independence Day is a wonderful time to enjoy a long summer weekend, fireworks, family time, and appreciation to those that defend our freedom. On July 4, 1776, the U.S. thirteen colonies claimed their independence from England. Be sure to celebrate this 4th of July with some red, white, and blue at local events near our stations.

Oakland A’s Postgame Fireworks Celebration

Sacramento’s 4th of July fireworks are back! The firework show will take place at 9:30 PM and can be viewed from Old Sacramento, along the river, and near downtown.

Residents within Elk Grove and Sacramento can tune into 93.7 FM The River to hear the firework soundtrack and watch the live broadcast of the firework on ABC10. 


4th of July at the Lake

Lodi Lake 

Join the fun at Lodi Lake this 4th of July. The event starts at 10 AM with activity and vendors throughout the park. The beach and boathouse will be open to the public. The Lodi Lake firework show will start after dark. Admission to the lake is free! 


Modesto’s 148th Annual 4th of July Celebration

Since 1874, the city of Modesto has celebrated the 4th of July with a parade through downtown. This year's parade is being organized by the Modesto Kiwanis Club.

Join Downtown Stockton for the 2021 4th of July parade. The parade is hosted by the United Veterans Council of San Joaquin County. The parade will start at E Miner Ave and N El Dorado Street.

Join the Fresno Grizzlies for Fresno’s re-opening weekend with food trucks and fireworks, etc. On Sunday head to Chukchansi Park for the annual firework shows hosted by Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino & ABC 30.

The city of Bakersfield is bringing back the 4th of July firework show to celebrate Independence Day. Attendees can tune to 97.3 FM for music accompanying the show.
