Little Eco-Art Market in Old Sacramento

Join the Atrium Gallery and Art Cafe as they bring out local artists and creatives for this pop-up event along the Sacramento Waterfront. This family-friendly event offers train rides, art classes like making clay magnets and painting, and live music. Parents can sit back and relax as the kids go wild with creativity. The Atrium Gallery and Art Cafe has been named one of the most unique stores in the Sacramento area. They are offering art as a way for creatives in the gallery and vendors pop-ups to incorporate up-cycled materials, refillable packaging, and eco-friendly products to move towards a healthier and kinder future for all. This event is free to attend, so why not venture to Old Sacramento and enjoy this fun and unique experience.

Drink and Draw Landscapes

Enjoy a relaxing Saturday afternoon at the Crocker Art Museum's Drink and Draw class, which will feature landscapes. Have a glass of wine or two as you embark on your artistic journey. Directions: Amtrak Riders arriving at the Sacramento Valley Station can take a quick 14-minute walk through downtown by turning right onto I Street, making a left onto 3rd Street, and finally turning right onto O Street. You can also take a quick 5-minute Lyft or Uber to the Crocker Art Museum.

4th on the Field

Sutter Health Park, 400 Ballpark Dr, West Sacramento, CA | Monday, July 4, 2022 | 6:00 PM PDT 

The 9th annual Sutter Health Park 4th on the Field returns!. Enjoy an evening filled with fun, excitement, music, food, and spectacular Fireworks! In addition, there will be fun contests throughout the night, including a potato sack race, water balloon toss, and pie-eating contest.

Food trucks will be available to catch a quick meal or a small snack and will line the warning track of the field, as well as on the concourse. Music will be provided by Rod Stinson Band, while kids will be able to splash around in the splash pad and play structure. Tickets for the events start at $12, a +21 club option starts at $20, and club suite ticket packages start at $650 and include 20 tickets for you and your family + 4 parking passes. Directions: Amtrak Riders arriving at the Sacramento Valley Station can take a 20-minute walk to Sutter Health Park. Turn left toward 2nd Street, take a right onto Capitol  Mall, turn left onto River Walk Trail, turn right toward Ball Park Drive, continue onto Ball Pak Drive, and Sutter Health Park will be on your right. If Amtrak Riders prefer to catch a ride, they can take a quick 5-minute Lyft or Uber. 

Rib Cookoff

Ribs, Barbeque, and a good time that's what you'll find at the 2nd Annual Stockton Rib Cookoff! Hosted by Fat City Brew and BBQ and held at the Kings Card Room, the cookoff allows teams to compete for a $600 cash prize.  Want to show off your barbecuing skills? Each team entry is $150. Begin celebrating the 4th of July early with Stockton's Fourth of July Parade, an exciting Independence Day event that takes place in downtown Stockton and is a wonderful family-friendly event that all ages can enjoy. The parade route will start at the Stockton Civic Auditorium and end at the Weber Point Event Center. Stay after the Parade at the Weber the 4th of July Fest and Fireworks; gates to the park will open at noon. The celebration will feature face painting, food trucks, vendors, live music, and more! Make sure to bring a blanket or lawn chair to enjoy the spectacular fireworks once the sun goes down. Admission to this event is free!

4th of July at Lodi Lake

Enjoy the great outdoors this 4th of July Holiday, with the 4th of July at Lodi Lake celebration. This all-day event starts with a fantastic pancake breakfast followed by activities and vendors throughout the park. Admission to the Lake Celebration is free, though an extra fee may be implemented if you want to access specific amenities. Entry and Access to Lodi Lake Beach start at $3 per person; boat rentals are available through the Headwaters Boathouse. The 4th of July celebration will conclude with an impressive fireworks show beginning at 9:30 PM!!

Play with Clay

The Chartreuse Muse offers the opportunity to learn how to bend and mold clay. This art class will teach you the basics of using clay as a medium in your art style. Then, be led step by step through a ceramics project as you learn a hand-building technique, leaving room for your creativity. Though this is labeled as an adult drop-in class, is it open for everyone in the family to join. Tickets for the drop-in class start at $25; you also have the opportunity to return to the course a few weeks later to learn how to glaze your artistic creation, which tickets for that class start at $10. 4th of July Parade

Join the City of Modesto and the Modesto Kiwanis Clubs for the 149th annual 4th of July Parade! This year's parade theme will be United we Stand, so come on down and honor America's Independence Day with the community. The parade will start at 9:30 AM sharp, be sure to grab the perfect spot to view the parade route. 

 

Directions: Amtrak Riders arriving at the Modesto Station can take a quick 12-minute Lyft or Uber from the Modesto Station to the Main stage located at Courthouse Plaza.

Grizzlies Fourth of July Fireworks Extravaganza

This year, the Grizzlies are playing the San Jose Giants on the 4th of July, and it's an excellent option for the family to celebrate our independence over baseball, hot dogs, and fireworks. It's bound to be hot, so bring your baseball hats and prepare to cool down with ice-cold beer, frozen lemonade, or Dippin' Dots! Buy tickets here for an unforgettable firework show!

3rd of July Fireworks & Celebration

Marina Bay Park, Regatta Boulevard & Marina Bay Parkway, Richmond, CA | Sunday, July 3, 2022 | 6:00 PM PDT 

The City of Richmond is excited to welcome everyone to the Marina Bay Park for fireworks, food, and fun. Celebrate with your fellow community members to enjoy live blues music and the youth play area. The City's 20-minute fireworks display will begin around 9:15 PM.

 

Amtrak Riders who arrive at the Amtrak Richmond Station can walk to the BART Station next door to take the BART to the Regatta Blvd & Seadrift Dr. stop, which will take you right to the park. Riders can also take a quick 6-minute Lyft or Uber to the Marina Bay Park. 

Sesquicentennial 4th of July Celebration & Parade

Downtown Antioch | Antioch, CA 94509, CA | Monday, July 4, 2022 | 11:00 AM PDT 

Come visit downtown Antioch to celebrate the 4th of July and 150 years of cityhood as one of the oldest cities in California! The festivities begin with a pancake breakfast from 8:00 AM -10:00 AM, followed by the Sesquicentennial Parade from 11:00 AM -12:30 PM, then from 1:00 PM until the fireworks begin at 9:30 PM. Enjoy live music, local food, craft vendors, and a huge kids zone. This event is family-friendly and will be alcohol-free. The evening will conclude with The Sacred Fire Dancers performing on the main stage before the 9:30 PM fireworks show over the Delta.

Oakland Municipal Band Fourth of July Concert

Since 1912, the Oakland Municipal Band has been presenting free concerts at Lakeside Park in the heart of Oakland, California. It is one of the oldest musical organizations in the United States. Lakeside Park is the city's cultural center, and the free concerts bring citizens of all ages and backgrounds together for quality music, picnicking, and socializing. The 35-piece band performs music from various genres, including marches, classical, pop, big band, movies, international, show tunes, and more, for the enjoyment of the diverse population of Oakland and its surrounding areas. So bring a lawn chair or blanket and a picnic lunch, and join us for our 109th season! All concerts start at 1:00 pm and last until 3:00.

 

Amtrak Riders who arrive at the Amtrak Oakland Jack London Station can walk across the street to catch the bus at Alice St. and 2nd Street and take it to Grand Ave. and Bellevue Ave., then walk on Bellevue Ave. until you arrive at Lakeside Park. Riders can also take a 10-minute Lyft or Uber to the park.
