About the Route
From the State Capitol to beautiful botanical gardens and wildlife reserves, Route 3 has something for everyone. Explore the state parks in Redding; get up close and personal with kangaroos at the Outback Kangaroo Farm; see airplanes, historic flight logs and NASA space artifacts at the Chico Air Museum; and eat and drink your way through walkable Sacramento.
The Stops and Schedule
Head to Napa where you’ll experience hundreds of wineries, world class cuisine, and boutique hotels; walk among some of the oldest living things in the world in the redwood forests; or go to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom to get your heart racing on the roller coasters and rides. And along the route, you can also stop by incredible coffee shops, unique breweries, great museums and beautiful parks.
