Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with Amtrak San Joaquins!

Hispanic Heritage Month is a national celebration held annually from September 15th to October 15th where we recognize and celebrate the rich history, vibrant culture, and important contributions made by Hispanic and Latino Americans. The commencement date of September 15th marks the anniversary of Independence for countries including Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua followed by the Independence of Mexico on September 16th and the Independence of Chile on September 18th

This year's theme for Hispanic Heritage Month is "Esperanza: A Celebration of Hispanic Heritage and Hope." Celebrate with Amtrak San Joqauins by planning a trip to check out the cultural institutions dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Hispanic and Latino culture listed below:

Latino Center of Art & Culture (Sacramento)

Founded in 1972, this multi-disciplinary cultural center provides presentations, exhibitions, and artistic programs by Latinx artists, organizations and families. Just a short Uber or Lyft ride from Sacramento Valley Station.
