FresNO or do you mean FresYES? Fresno is such a great getaway destination when visiting the central valley. Whether it’s for the day or overnight, you can join in on the FresYES festival that happens in March or take a tour of the 62-mile breathtaking Bloom Trail that happens yearly. If you are feeling spontaneous and have a sweet tooth, then just catch Amtrak San Joaquins from the Fresno station to Hanford where you can indulge at Superior Dairy (ask for the S.O.S, you’ll thank us later). Once you have filled up on ice cream you can cross the street and enjoy a nice stroll around Civic Center Park and its rich history from the 1898 Bastille; formally known as the county jail. You can also take a quick spin on the Hanford carousel.
