Hop on the train this Halloween with Amtrak San Joaquins—your connection to frightfully festive fun! From Fresno to Sacramento, there are plenty of opportunities for a ghoulishly good time along the route. You can even let San Joaquins be your designated driver for a wickedly wonderful weekend at those zombie pub crawls!

HALLOWEEN DIA DE LOS MUERTOS FAMILY FUN FEST

Jack London Square Plaza | Oakland, CA | Saturday, 10/30 | 1PM-3PM | FREE 

Bring your family of trick-or-treaters for chalk art, pumpkins, mariachis, Mexican Folklorico dancers and other exciting activities along the waterfront. There will be a costume contest, so come dressed to impress!

HALLOWEEN SELFIE MUSEUM

Moonwood Studio | 1809 3rd Ave, Oakland, CA | 10/21-11/7 | $20 

This immersive Halloween pop-up intended for all ages includes over 13 different sets with distinct autumn and Halloween themes.Guests are invited to take a one-hour tour through Moon Manor with decorations and artwork that celebrate the season and provide plenty of opportunities for memorable photos. Be sure to purchase your ticket before arriving and arrive on time to get the most out of this spooky experience!

 

TRICK OR DRINK: SAN FRANCISCO HALLOWEEN BAR CRAWL

What’s better than one night of frightful fun? Three nights of frightful fun! Barcrawlerz is making its way to San Francisco to give all you goblins and ghouls an opportunity to experience the best bars and drink specials in town. After pre-purchasing your Bar Crawl wristband, check in NorthStar Cafe to receive a wristband and map with participating bar locations and drink specials. Be sure to wear your costume for an extra dose of fun!

This three-day event will have you crawling all over Sacramento! After pre-purchasing your Bar Crawl wristband, check in Tiger Bar to receive a wristband and map with participating bar locations and drink specials. Be sure to wear your costume for an extra dose of fun!

ROCKRIDGE HALLOWEEN PARADE

Rockridge BART Station | Oakland, CA | 10/31 | 12PM-2PM | FREE

The ghoulish tradition of trick-or-treating in Rockridge returns! Start at Rockridge BART at noon and look for this poster to find places offering treats! Rally at Rockridge Library at 1PM for games and entertainment!

SACRAMENTO SPOOKOMOTIVE TRAIN RIDES

California State Railroad Museum | Sacramento, CA | 10/30 - 10/31 | Departures at 10am, 11:30am, 1pm, 2:30pm and 4pm | $9+

Take a ride on the spooky side! This delightful, but not frightful, diesel-powered train ride transports riders into an action-packed experience as a sinister super-villain takes over the train. Watch the story unfold in real-time as a superhero fights to save the day. Hop aboard for the ride of your life, if you dare.

LODI ZOMBIE WALK & HALLOWEEN FAIRE

IDOL Beer Works (100 South Sacramento Street) | Lodi, CA | 5pm | Children under 12: FREE Adults: $8 - $25

This night of the living dead is sure to be a wicked good time. Put on your best zombie attire or costume and join a host of zombies for this annual zombie walk through the streets of Downtown Lodi. In its 11th year, this event includes fun and entertainment for the whole family.
