Active Military Personnel and Veterans Save 15% and Get Ahead of the Ticket Line

Veterans of the United States Military and active military (including their spouses and dependents) receive a 15% discount on the lowest available rail fare on most Amtrak trains. Must have served in one of the following branches: Army, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard. Just use the Fare Finder at the beginning of your search and select 'Military Veteran' or 'Military Active (Adult)' for each passenger as appropriate to receive the discount.

Discount Limitations

The military discount is not valid with Saver Fares.
The military discount is not valid for travel on certain Amtrak Thruway connecting services.

Upgrade to business class is available upon full payment of applicable accommodation charges on Pacific Surfliner.
